Thomson Training Solutions has established itself as a leader in network cabling education, supporting over 3,000 technicians across Manitoba in successfully achieving their “M” low voltage license through engaging, practical, and technically rigorous training. Our program is designed to go beyond basic theory, combining real-world application with clear instruction on codes, standards, and best practices so participants are fully prepared to meet licensing requirements through Inspection and Technical Services (ITS). Our province mandates this license to legally work in this field.
Our 30-hour course is held four times a year and is offered on Saturday’s and in the evenings, so it doesn’t interfere with your busy work schedule. It includes books, videos and quizzes and we help you navigate the application process with the Department of Labour. To write the exam you must be able to demonstrate to ITS that you have 2 years and 3,600 hours in the field. They will accept work experience from another country.
